About the role
The UK Corporate Bank at Barclays supports large and medium corporate clients across the UK. Our specialised business units, such as Large Corporate, Medium Corporate, Public Sector, and Real Estate, are market leaders in their respective fields. In this programme, you’ll be responsible for helping clients access Barclays' comprehensive suite of solutions, including Barclaycard and Personal Banking. You’ll gain foundational banking knowledge, develop key relationship and technical skills, and work on complex corporate transactions that will help clients achieve their growth ambitions. This programme is designed to equip you with the tools and experience needed to take your first steps in a career as a Corporate Banker at Barclays.
What to expect
Our UK Corporate Bank supports large and medium Corporate clients within the UK, compromising of specialist businesses each of which are market leaders in the UK market; Large Corporate, Medium Corporate, Public Sector and Real Estate. We support the entire range of its clients’ needs from day to day banking through to complex corporate financing arrangements. As a UK Corporate banking colleague you will be responsible for supporting your clients gain access to all of Barclays group solutions including Barclaycard and Personal Banking.
How you'll develop
Our Intern programme will teach banking from a grass roots level and inform interns on the role a bank plays in the UK economy as we support strategic clients with complex needs ranging from day to day banking through to complex mergers and acquisitions as well as broader topics such as ESG planning.
