Join us as an AVP - Deal Support Team at Barclays, where you'll be part of Working within Deal Support Team to provide operational support to frontline Corporate Banking UK Coverage colleagues through the completion of defined tasks.The Deal Support Team (DST) provides support to the Corporate and Business Banking origination teams through research, analysis and operational support. It provides end to end support in the deal value chain, right from prospect generation to pitchbook and engagement books to support initial client meeting or annual discussions with the existing customers. DST also supports Coverage teams with performance management insights, data, reporting, administrative and business management support. 

To be a successful AVP - Deal Support Team, you should have experience with:

  • Provide support on operational activities to Corporate Banking UK Coverage colleagues.
  • Act as a secondary point of contact for process fulfilment requests and feedback. Primary point of contact would be the Team Leader/Business Head.
  • Coordinate all activities of the Business Management to ensure the quality and timeliness of outputs are presented in a clear and professional format.
  • Manage performance of the individual members of the team and maintain high motivation and commitment levels.
  • Drive transparent reporting, with periodic reports to Team Lead/Business Head summarizing team activities and statistics on driving business success
  • Identify and share best practices within the team.
  • Drive and lead projects in partnership with stakeholders, ensuring the project management and stakeholder management without any misses.
  • Drive and implement process improvement ideas to increase efficiency, and/or reduce costs.

  • Compile accurate and thorough reports measuring overall team output and impact on deal success.
  • Conduct conference calls and video conferences to provide feedback and updates on progress and results.
  • Provide periodic reports to stakeholders summarizing team activities and statistics on driving business success.

Stakeholder Management and Leadership

  • Liaise with stakeholders to obtain feedback on support levels and quality of output and build improvements into the outputs.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across businesses served.
  • Work with the functional owners to ensure cohesion between individual and departmental goals.
  • Liaise with Barclays Corporate senior management to obtain feedback on support levels and quality of output.

  • Identify processes that help make the right decision on behalf of the organization and make a concerted effort to uncover biases that may affect the outcome of it.
  • Ability to quickly identify issues, define obstacles, examine options, and act on an agreed course of action and monitor the how it turns out, and whether any changes need to be made.

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and Power Point).

  • Aptitude to work in a variable business environment, periodically requiring tight deadlines and aggressive turn-around times.

 Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications :

  • Relevant experience in a banking or financial services institution in Operations.
  • Preferably having adequate people management experience.
  • Candidate must be a postgraduate (MBA preferred)

The location of the role is Noida.

Purpose of the role

To support coverage to grow income for both new and existing customers by providing marketing leading tools, a world class learning & development programme as well as analytical support in terms of sales management tools to contribute to the overall success of UKC. 

Accountabilities

  • Design, execution and embedding of an ongoing roadmap to provides market leading Tools for RDs and Coverage.
  • Design, execution and embedding of an ongoing training plan to provide ‘World Class Learning’.
  • Support the delivery of market leading client collateral to provide a competitive advantage to RDs.   .
  • Collaboration with Product to develop market leading industry/segment focused products and multi product solutions and Develop and drive initiatives.
  • Development of the data capability across UK Corporate to enable delivery of client insights to drive acquisitions and increase wallet share.
  • Maximise the positive impact of UCRM and Salesforce as a tool for Corporate Banking.
  • Implementation of agreed minimum standards and best practices across UK Corporate  and support this with sales management tools to drive overall success.
