Join us as a Data Analyst in ORRO Automation and Data Analytics team, responsible to design, develop and maintain business applications and solutions for ORRO (Operational Risk and Risk Oversight) function within the Risk department with an aim to :

  • Build data analytics which improve and enhance operational risk monitoring.

  • Automate current processes to achieve efficiency and control improvements.

  • Support ORRO leadership in various strategic initiatives and programmes where required.

You will be responsible for leveraging innovative data analytics and machine learning techniques to drive actionable insights from the bank's data assets. You will work closely with key stakeholders across business and technology teams to support data- driven decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and drive innovation across the organisation. Your role will involve analysing complex datasets, identifying trends, and risk, and translating insights into meaningful recommendations that support strategic objectives and improve overall business performance. 

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Essential Qualifications / Skills :

  • Experience in risk management / control assurance.

  • Ability to identify and learn emerging data analytics technologies and utilise them to deliver practical business solutions.

  • Ability to perform complex quantitative analysis and translate results into meaningful business insights.

  • Experience in / knowledge of automation tools and techniques such as Web Apps based on Python, Power Apps and Power Automate.

  • Experience in / knowledge in data analytics and business intelligence (BI) platforms - Tableau / Power BI.

  • Mandatory knowledge of SQL and Python Programming languages.

  • Experience of working on at least one complete Data Analytics project. End to End life cycle from Investigation to productionizing the solution.

Some other highly valued skills include:

  • Extensive knowledge of Gitlab and cloud concepts (code deployment).

  • Development and execution of data extraction strategies to gather relevant data from various sources, including internal systems, external databases, and third-party vendors.

  • Design and conduct of statistical and machine learning models to analyse patterns, trends, and relationships in the data.

  • Development and implementation of predictive models to forecast future outcomes and identify potential risks and opportunities.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to seek out opportunities to add value from data through Data Science.

  • Experience in training end users on data analysis technologies.

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as knowledge of SQL and Python Programming languages, Tableau/ PowerBI , knowledge of Gitlab, cloud concepts (code deployment).

This role is based in Noida.​

Purpose of the role

To enable data-driven strategic and operational decision making through extracting actionable insights from large datasets, performing statistical and advanced analytics to uncover trends and patterns, and presenting findings through clear visualisations and reports.

Accountabilities

  • Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification, documenting data sources, methodologies, and quality findings with recommendations for improvement. 

  • Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.

  • Apply advanced analytical techniques to large datasets to uncover trends and correlations, develop validated logical data models, and translate insights into actionable business recommendations that drive operational and process improvements, leveraging machine learning/AI.

  • Through data-driven analysis, translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations, identifying opportunities for operational and process improvements.

  • Design and create interactive dashboards and visual reports using applicable tools and automate reporting processes for regular and ad-hoc stakeholder needs.

  • Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside team and external to the organisation.
