Join us as a Pega Developer at Barclays where you'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. You'll harness cutting-edge technology to revolutionize our digital offerings, ensuring unapparelled customer experiences. As pega developer, you'll be working on the number of task on a variety of different projects and prove ability to build effective internal relationships.

To be successful as a Pega Developer you should have experienced with:

Experience on PEGA 8 with overall 5-6 years of experience .
Strong in pega based application development.
Must have prior experience in REST/SOAP web services.
Strong understanding WAS, JBoSS and Tomcat servers.
Good knowledge on pega reporting, process flows.
Experience in creating background process jobs in pega using queue processors & job schedulers.
Experience in creating Declarative rules like declare expressions , decision trees & tables, Datapages.
Experience in working on Pega BIX.
Experience in handling session management with cookies disabled, error handling and Database threading, using load balancers and single-sign-on like webseal integration.
Knowledge on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience in writing Activities, data transform, functions.
Experience using pega unit testing and scenario testing frameworks.
SQL query writing using Teradata and Oracle would be added advantage.

Awareness of innovative management information tools and systems.
Governance and compliance policies, standards, and procedures required to fulfil role e.g., data security, records management.

This role is based in Pune.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities

Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
