You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as experience with Analytics Platform domain as well as job-specific skillsets.

To be successful as a "Security Engineer", you should have experience with:

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience in using DataWalk or similar Analytics Platforms such as ANB (i2), Palentir, Cognyte.

  • Experience in integrating data from various sources and manage large dataset effectively as well as analysing complex datasets and creating insightful visualization to support decision-making process.

  • Experience integrating Analytics Tools with DevOps practices and tools to ensure continuous security and assurance.

  • Proficiency in SIEM tools like Splunk, Sentinel , Wazuh.

  • Understanding of Data Protection Principles and practices. Proficiency in SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages for data manipulation and analysis.

  • Strong knowledge of data models, enrichment and automation

  • Understanding of governance in a large financial environment, particularly around Change Management, Risk Management, handling major and minor incidents, Disaster Recovery planning / testing and meeting requirements of rigorous Audit mandates.

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • An understanding on numerous security tool sets; Vulnerability Assessment, Firewall Assurance, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM).

  • Relevant professional certifications in information technology or Cloud Security e.g. CISSP, CISM, AWS/Azure Security Certifications. Experience of running an internal application and Services.

  • Experience in using analytics tool for Security, Fraud detection, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), or other investigative purposes.

  • Experiences with threat intelligence platforms and methodologies.

  • Experience with ETL pipelines.

This role will be based out of Pune.

Purpose of the role

To develop, implement and maintain solutions that support the safeguarding of the banks systems and sensitive information.  

Accountabilities

  • Provision of subject matter expertise on security systems and engineering patterns.
  • Development and implementation of protocols, algorithms, and software applications to protect sensitive data and systems.
  • Management and protection of secrets, ensuring that they are securely generated, stored, and used.
  • Execution of audits to monitor, identify and assess vulnerabilities in the banks infrastructure/software and support the response to potential security breaches.
  • Identification of advancements in to support the innovation and adoption of new cryptographic technologies and techniques.
  • Collaboration across the bank, including developers and security teams, to ensure that cryptographic solutions align with business objectives, security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Development/ Implementation and maintenance of Identity and Access Management solutions and systems.

They will identify new directions for assignments and/ or projects, identifying a combination of cross functional methodologies or practices to meet required outcomes.
  • Consult on complex issues; providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and developing new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work, for business aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practises (in other areas, teams, companies, etc).to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information. 'Complex' information could include sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.
  • Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
