Join us on an off cycle internship for 3-6 months working within our Investment Banking, Markets, Corporate Banking or Quantitative Analytics business areas.Immerse yourself in our work and culture and gain invaluable insights into life as a Full-time Analyst with this longer internship.

The chance to make an impact
As a Off-Cycle Analyst, you’ll take your first steps into the fascinating world of international private finance, gaining expertise in key financial markets. By working closely with experienced Private Bankers, you will learn how to assess a client’s needs, then formulate and execute the right solutions to help them reach their goals. You may:
• Perform financial analysis of potential clients
• Prepare presentations and memoranda for existing and new clients
• Support credit and onboarding due diligence
• Attend client meetings with experienced bankers
• Network and build relationships across a global organisation

Who we're looking for
To be considered for this programme, you must be in your penultimate or final year - in any discipline. Language requirement: English

Purpose of the role

To participate in the day-to-day activities of the private bank and wealth management division providing insights and expertise that help senior colleagues make informed decisions, develop new products and services, and identify new market opportunities.

Accountabilities

  • Execution of small research projects, research to support strategic decision making, preparation of presentations and reports to communicate research findings, collaboration with senior management to implement research findings for private bank and wealth management, working closely with high-net-worth clients and their advisors who have complex banking and investment needs.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
  • Participation in training and development programmes to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Identification of opportunities, development of business cases, management of the deployment and launch of new products and services for private bank and wealth management.
  • Management of the development and implementation of financial models and strategies that support in decision making in private bank and wealth management.
  • Training and mentoring of junior colleagues.

  • Demonstrate understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organisation sub-function.
  • Make evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information, paying attention to detail.
  • Resolve problems by identifying and selecting solutions through the application of acquired technical experience and will be guided by precedents.
  • Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex / sensitive information.
  • Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside team and external to the organisation.
