Job Title :  Control IT Developer

Location : Chennai

•    Required: Senior developers with strong skills in Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, A>I, ETL data handling etc
•    Preferred: Strong data SME knowledge across banking domain 
•    Understanding the overall purpose of projects and contribute to the development, testing and maintenance of controls utilizing Oracle and Hadoop data sources
•    Share ownership of the development and coding phases of projects with a strong focus on quality, automation & minimum defects
•    Involved in data discovery/analysis as well as test phases and work towards early resolution of defects and ensuring permanent sustainable fixes
•    Effective liaison with data, testing and infrastructure teams
•    Design, Develop and Implement Change Requests (CR) from Business
•    Provision of out of office hours support to ensure smooth delivery of project as per timelines
•    Adherence to Barclays policies and standards
•    Support live implementation, Provide warranty support, Service transition, BAU support 
•    Work with SMEs and Data Stewards if anomalies are identified in existing platform during data discovery as an improvement area in new environment

What will you be doing?
Data Analysis, Design and Development (70%)
•    Hands-on Data analysis, Design and development of Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, etc.
•    Understand the end to end architecture and process flow
•    Understand Core Generic Loading Frame work created
•    Understand user requirement and involvement in design discussions
•    Adherence to Barclays coding standards and best practices
•    Work towards operational efficiency in batch processing
•    Ability to solve ad-hoc issues from business

Team Management (15%)
•    Taking care of work load of the team by distributing work among junior team members
•    Manage expectation of the client and provide regular status updates
•    Build a team culture that offers high-performance, winning together, good relevant skills and trust
•    Be the point of contact for any grievances in the team. Resolve such grievances through active interest and participation

Governance and Compliance (5%)
•    Adhering to Barclays standards
•    Status reports sent out to all relevant stakeholders on a timely basis


Learning and Growth (10%)
•    Building and maintaining an expert understanding of the various stages of software development, enhancements, and support
•    Providing guidance and assistance to colleagues
Identifying areas of improvement for self / team

What we’re looking for?
•    Strong Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL technical Expertise for control Development
•    Good Data SME knowledge in banking industry (across any domain)
