Location : Chennai
You will be responsible for deploying technical solutions to ensure accurate, consistent data collection and governance for Barclays UK. You will play a key role as part of the growth and expansion of the Marketing Platforms team. As a tagging SME within Barclays, this role may involve engagement with internal and external stakeholders
What will you be doing?
You will work with cutting edge technology, rich datasets and advance digital techniques to help shape the overall BUK Digital business.
- You will assist the Digital Data Development Manager with managing and implementing technical solutions on Barclays UK websites and mobile app(s)
- This includes (but isn't limited to) analytics and marketing tagging, developing tagging guides, custom code needed to support tags, ETL processes and QA testing
- Monitor tag deployments within the Tag Management System (TMS)
- Create solutions for analytics implementation on new frameworks, new architecture, new technologies on both Barclays and Barclays partners digital assets.
- Serve as a technical contact and internal SME for all tagging implementation requests for analytics and marketing
- Ensure data capture is consistent and accurate
- Test, validate and troubleshoot tagging and tracking issues as they occur - communicating status/next steps until resolution with all relevant stakeholders
- Take ownership of the existing tag management process as well as contribute to continuous improvement
- Identify and document best practices to be followed in the tag management process
- Create and maintain technical tagging documentation
- Manage administration, tag governance and compliance of best practice guidelines for platform integrations and consistent data flow
What we’re looking for?
- Minimum years of experience in designing and developing tag management solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Master’s degree in mathematics/statistics/computer science is preferred
- Ability to read, write, optimise, and audit JavaScript, JSON, and HTML code.
- Attention to details with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Familiarity with producing basic web traffic report either using an analytics tool or server logs.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal
Skills that will help you in the role
- Held a role as a Web Analyst
- Knowledge of tag management tools such as Tealium and Adobe DTM/Launch
- Knowledge of in-app tracking tools such as Appsflyer
- Knowledge of tag and cookie governance tools such as Observepoint
- Working knowledge of jQuery and CSS
- Experience of working with single page applications (SPA)
- Understanding of mobile programming language especially Swift and Objective C
- Understanding of the role of tracking technologies and how it underpins behavioural tracking and targeting
- Awareness of GDPR, PECR regulation and cookie consent
- Exposure to web data, traffic, e-Commerce, navigation/path analysis, search etc
- Quantitative mind set, with a desire to work in a data-intensive environment
- Strong understanding of e-commerce and/or digital marketing
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
