Finance Manager

As a Barclays Finance Manager you will initially be working on a project to deliver the European Banking Authority (EBA) Stress Test for Barclays Europe. You will be supporting senior stakeholders and project managing some aspects of the EBA stress Test. This is an exciting opportunity which will develop to help support the Medium Term Plan and Internal Stress Test deliverables helping with co-ordination and delivery of these key deliverables for Barclays Europe.

What will you be doing?

• Project Managing including coordinating EBA process, working across Finance and Risk and Treasury teams to support EBA process
• Undertaking management reporting including delivery of key planning and stress testing deliverables for both Barclays Bank stakeholders and wider Group stakeholders
• Designing and producing ad-hoc Management Information and sensitivity analysis to solve business needs
• Scenario modelling and analysing the financial performance of Barclays Bank Ireland 
• Ensuring an excellent control environment is in place
• Providing early identification, communication and resolution or escalation of all control issues
• Maintaining and operating fit for purpose systems and datasets for reporting, planning and analysis and alignment to common control data sets
• Supporting project leadership with programme deliverables

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in Financial Reporting, Control, Planning and/or Analytics
• Comprehensive data management and financial modelling skills such as  Python, Sequel, Access, VBA 
• Excellent communication skills, particularly the ability to summarise large amounts of data and present in a concise and readily understood format
• In depth understanding of finance and banking

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Understanding of wider commercial aspects 
• Effective organisational skills in prioritising and managing multiple deliverables
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Scenario building and sensitivity analysis

Where will you be working?

You will be based in our new flagship office, One Molesworth Street, which is in the heart of Dublin city centre. We are currently expanding which drives a culture of change and hard work ethic, nonetheless the company maintains an open, friendly atmosphere.  This is enhanced through our unique onboarding programs and a number of committees which all employees are eligible to join.
