As a Barclays Senior Data Analyst you will be responsible for leading a team, focused on working towards hydrating data within Corporate Banking products (inc. Datalake, Operational Data Store) aligned with Corporate Strategy. You will support stakeholders in understanding the nuances of the strategy while working with business & technical SMEs to clarify the scope & impacts of the initiatives. What will you be doing?
• Identifying & verifying the source data origination – together with assessing overlapping & distinct data elements
• Becoming knowledgeable in data sources and expected outputs in specific data domains – e.g. payments, liquidity and KYC
• You will be Project Manager or Scrum Master for key deliveries or certain projects delivering intended outcomes and co-ordinating workloads
• Supporting the programme & project leads towards achieving the goals of the initiatives
• Raising awareness to Programme & Project Managers of dependencies outside area of responsibility
• You will be developing, monitoring and reporting on high level plans and RAIDs for data initiatives
• Adhering to Group Change control and governance standards, recording and reporting data in the right way
• Adapting to changing requirements & priorities and changing course as necessary
• You will perform manage data analysts and directing and leading on department strategies
What we’re looking for:
• Ability to query large data sets using SQL
• Experience working on curation of data within projects
• Previous experience as Project lead and RAID management is essential
Skills that will help you in the role:
• JIRA / CA AgileCentral or equivalent will be beneficial
• R/Python knowledge to query large semi structured data sets will allow you to hit the ground running
• SAS Development experience is preferred
