As Barclays Application Support this is an exciting time to join Run the Bank (RTB) Technology team, who are responsible for the end to end stability of key services. Being an Application Support means you will be assisting the Application Support Lead and key stakeholders to ensure a consistent approach and management of the ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) Service Management functions/processes, across multiple product areas, by supporting critical applications within the portfolio.

What will you be doing?
• Providing technical support and maintenance of the retail lending applications, whilst also working independently
• Following best practice ITIL principles problem management/incident management/change management/release management/ application/continuous service Improvement
• Taking responsibility for the technical solution to incidents, reacting quickly and as necessary to live software errors to limit downtime and resolve the issue
• Having ownership and prioritization of individual Incidents and ensuring the delivery of solutions in line with the Operational Level Agreements to deadlines and quality standards
• Ensuring delivery of all documentation to agreed standards, on time and error free
• Providing out of hours cover and support, giving expertise and specialized system knowledge to allow resolution of key incidents
• Supporting handovers of changes into BAU operation, providing the relevant IT service teams with information and education relating to the system technology and function
• Training, developing and mentoring colleagues to ensure full development of their potential

What we’re looking for:
• Previously worked on Windows Server Management and T-SQL
• Knowledge and experience developing/supporting a workflow based Application
• Experience in Incident Management and other ITIL disciplines

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Working experience of the following languages and technologies: Mortgage Sales & Originations, API support, aPaaS and AWS, Salesforce
• ITIL V3 or above certified
• Experience in Web.config management
