Radbroke
As a Barclays Cloud and Application Infrastructure Engineer you will report to the L3 technical lead and be primarily responsible for the provision, support and stability of our systems. This will include collaboration with a number of teams across Barclays Corporate & International, Infrastructure Services, & external vendors. You will be focusing on identification, validation and implementation of tools to proactively identify and mitigate any risks with potential to impact our clients.

What will you be doing?
• Working on Environment Build, Integration and Configuration of environments
• Testing environment support – defect triage/ resolution for issues with the components
• Working on Release & Configuration – deployments to all Test, Production & DR environments
• Driving and enhancing the Resilience capabilities, not just Infrastructure but guiding where application designs can be changed to take advantage of resilient architecture
• Supporting Production – L3 incident & problem management and supporting Resilience PCO invocation and testing
• Working on Tech Debt/ Strategic initiatives – Infrastructure & Software upgrades, Patching, Certificate Management
• Alerting & Monitoring – working with the Infrastructure Services and tooling teams on installation and configuration of CA APM (Wily), AppD, Ganglia, Galaxy, Azure, NIMBUS
• Installing, configuring and maintaining the Banks Identift Access Management & authentication services such as IBM ISIM, or the Broadcom/ CA SSO SiteMInder
What we’re looking for:
• Sound knowledge of Identity and access management tools
• Sound knowledge of UNIX/ LINUX Administration & JBOSS
• Knowledge of Dockers and OpenShift: Should be able to create Dockerimages as per application requirement Configuration of secrets and configs on Deployment configs
• Deployment and other tasks automation using Jenkins CI/ CD Pipelines
Skills that will help you in the role:
• IBM WebSphere - installation and configuration of WebSphere Application Server 8.5.5.x and later installation of feature packs and applying latest patches on top of WAS JACL
• AWS Practioner/ Associate qualifications
