As a Barclays Network Engineer Delivery Manager you will be responsible for the overall deployment and network configuration of new network kit to Data Centre locations within Barclays. You will use your skills and expertise for delivery and coordination management, as well as network core and access switch installation and configuration.

What will you be doing?
• Taking responsibility for the overall deployment of new network kit to both Data Centre and Campus locations within Barclays
• Acting as the primary contact between the project and the virtual engineering teams (both internal and external)
• Ensuring that appropriately skilled and experienced resources are appointed in line with the requirements of the project
• Ensuring that project status reporting is accurate and timely and that any risk to timescales is highlighted at the earliest opportunity
• Ensuring that all costs identified receive approval from the project/ BAU team at both Director/ FBP (Financial Business Partner) level
• Ensuring that all communication within the virtual team is clear and precise, and that all documentation is up-to-date
• Managing multiple deliveries concurrently whilst remaining focused and maintaining a meticulous eye for detail
• Delivering projects in accordance with governance and control procedures
What we’re looking for:
• Proven experience in Cisco Routing and Switching at CCNA/ CCNP Level and proven commercial experience in a Support, Deployment or Design capacity
• Proven experience of successfully managing IT project deliverables to short timescales in a project/ programme environment and escalating any issues to the stakeholders
• Extensive experience of working effectively with internal and external suppliers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and in line with the budget
• Extensive experience of leading and motivating virtual teams (engineers, project managers, transition managers, etc.) within an IT project/ programme environment
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience working with workload management tools (examples: Navigator, JIRA, etc.)
• Experience working in IT Infrastructure or Application teams within the Financial Services sector
• Knowledge of ITIL disciplines
• Broad understanding of Network technologies including routing and switching, firewalls and load balancing
Where will you be working?
You will be based in Radbroke, Knutsford. The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64 acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
