Portfolio Governance Analyst
Radbroke or Northampton

As a Barclays Portfolio Governance Analyst you will be supporting our Consumer Credit Risk Portfolio teams and Consumer Risk & Finance, Treasury & Liquidity (CRFTL) CIO teams in sustaining adherence to policies and standard. You will specifically have a focus on our Financial Regulatory Reporting and Data Management to determine the appropriate risk treatment for any issues raised in line with our Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF).

What will you be doing?

• Analysing processes, capturing requirements, mapping documentation and supporting with designs to help support governance within our portfolios
• Providing consultancy inputs, on demand, to stakeholders across all portfolios and with other members of the team to build out knowledge on processes/ procedures 
• Practically applying our Data Governance strategy across portfolios  
• Co-ordinating with system and data owners through governance initiatives and control implementation
• Supporting the Data Lineage lifecycle management – oversight, governance and KPI management & analysis 
• Advising and providing guidance and support for stakeholders, as and when required
• Presentation of proposals to management for approval and implementation 

What we’re looking for:

• Good understanding and knowledge of Operational Risk and Internal Control principles and operating according to the three lines of defence risk management model
• Experience with or knowledge of statistical analysis, from either work or academia
• The ability to have oversight of and manage activities end-to-end shown through demonstrable competencies
• High level communication and persuasion skills with the ability to think quickly and package ideas and results in a logical way to both technical and non-technical audiences


Skills that will help you in the role:

• SAS/ SQL desirable but at the minimum proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
• Awareness of data extraction, manipulation, and considerations of data preparation for analytical purposes
• Experience of using systems such as ORAC

Where will you be working?

This role can be either based in our Radbroke or Northampton office.

The Barclays Technology Campus just outside Manchester is our tech command centre and a vital strategic powerhouse behind our global operations. The campus is set in a 64-acre self-contained site, in a beautiful green environment and it offers unrivalled facilities for work and for play. We have an onsite gym, as well as outdoor tennis, football and cricket areas, as well as onsite restaurant and coffee shops.
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment. Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
