Project Manager/ Business Analyst - Algorithmic Trading
London

As a Barclays Project Manager/ Business Analyst you will be responsible for the delivery of projects for a proprietary algorithmic trading and connectivity platform, supporting the business in trading cross product strategies across multiple regions. You will work closely with the development/ QA teams, trading desk, internal control function teams, such as market risk, regulatory reporting teams etc., as well as collaborating with wider equities and derivatives markets execution teams.

What will you be doing?
• Project managing and analysing various aspects of the projects for algorithmic trading and connectivity platform, from inception through to delivery
• Understanding the project financials and owning the reconciliation of forecasts with actuals and following up to address/ explain any discrepancies
• Ensuring comprehensive project documentation, including project plan/ milestones, business requirements, process flow diagrams and management/ project status reporting
• Writing detailed business and integration requirements documents 
• Obtaining formal sign-off of business requirements from all key project stakeholders and ensuring traceability throughout the development cycle as requirements evolve
• Working actively and closely with software development teams to ensure user requirements are clearly understood and developed as specified in the documentation
• Participating in software development staff planning, as they write detailed functional and design specifications to govern field, message, and user interface level details
• Conducting comprehensive functional testing during the development process ahead of QA and UAT

What we’re looking for:
• Excellent project management skills and ability to write high quality Business Requirement Documents and Functional Specs that are clear and concise for both traders and developers 
• Knowledge of Electronic Trading FTB trade flows and processes
• Experience working on a front-office trading platform

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Knowledge of Cash Equity and Derivatives electronic trading 
• Experience in agile project delivery

Where will you be working?
5 North Colonnade is home to our investment bank and is in the heart of Canary Wharf, just a short walk from our headquarters at Churchill Place. It boasts an array of onsite amenities such as dry cleaner as well as a deli and buffet style staff restaurant. The building is easily accessible by tube, docklands light railway and all major bus links. The atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
