Commercial Real Estate Specialist – Securitised Products Solutions

As a Barclays Commercial Real Estate Specialist you will join the Securitised Products Solutions team in a multifaceted role, leading the execution of complex Commercial Real Estate (CRE) structured transactions with multiples parties. You will help to develop best-in-class structures, providing excellent deal management whilst negotiating with clients and internal/ external stakeholders.

This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.

What will you be doing?
• Focusing on the execution of Commercial Real Estate lending transactions, as well the development of potential new opportunities
• Working closely with our stakeholders and support partners to develop best-in-class structures and provide excellent transaction management
• Working with other members of the Securitised Products team in order to analyse potential opportunities from a returns/ economic point of view
• Supporting Barclays sales force and helping broaden our client reach through ‘Barclays Power of One’

What we’re looking for:
• Proven experience gained within Commercial Real Estate lending
• Keen interest in structured finance markets
• Technical capability to be able to propose innovative solutions and navigate sophisticated structures
• Excellent analytical skills including modelling, risk assessment and regulatory/ accounting understanding

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Ability to comment thoroughly on transaction documentations
• Understanding of a Returns-based culture/ environment (i.e. RWA, LBS)

Where will you be working?
5 North Colonnade is home to our investment bank and is in the heart of Canary Wharf, just a short walk from our headquarters at Churchill Place. It boasts an array of onsite amenities such as dry cleaner as well as a deli and buffet style staff restaurant. The building is easily accessible by tube, docklands light railway and all major bus links. The atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
