Fraud Analytics Assistant Manager
London

As a Barclays Fraud Analytics Assistant Manager, you will provide data driven analytics for the management of Fraud decision strategy and maximise the performance of Fraud risk systems, toolkits and associated data and processes. In your new capacity, you will be assessing the risks we face, and ensure strategies are put in place to mitigate these risks to protect our business, clients and customers, while at the same time maintaining the accessibility of our products and services.

What will you be doing?
• Ensuring effective score and rule performance management for fraud detection tools, as well as optimal False Positive rates and Key Performance Indicators
• Producing the design, development and deployment of analysis and monitoring to prevent and detect fraud, responding to emerging trends and attacks
• Supporting the delivery of predictive analytics and models to allow the development of new Fraud Management solutions and to understand fraud control strategies 
• Assisting the stakeholders to articulate their fraud system strategy requirements/ queries, guiding and challenging where appropriate
• Providing fraud systems/ data subject-matter-expertise in the evaluation and development of new fraud systems/ tools and their implementation 
• Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, enterprise wide Risk Management Framework and internal policies

What we’re looking for:
• Knowledge of Fraud Risk systems and controls and their operating environments
• Understanding of issues relating to card and non-card fraud
• A self-motivated team player ready to define structure and prioritise work for self, who is also able to adapt when priorities and circumstances dictate
• Analytical ability, preferably working knowledge of SAS/ SQL and experience of working in a data analytics environment

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 
• Ability to absorb large quantities of data, making the right decisions with limited data available
• Understanding of how data analysis contributes to the business

Where will you be working?
In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links. With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.
