As a Barclays AWS WebApp Developer you will build and develop state of the art modern front-end applications that are deployed and integrated with the services into the Cloud. The applications will be used to do research and to distribute the analytics to internal and external users. The team is a business facing IT group which works closely with the Traders and Quants. Due to the nature and the volume of the trading and the criticality of the analytics, the IT function is critical.

What will you be doing?

•   Build the framework to have the Quant Analytics data and Analytics Data as Data As a Service (DAAS) in the Cloud.
•   Develop and improve the solutions in python for the Quants to work on bespoke reports for their clients
•   Work closely with the Quantitative Analytics team to build analytical tools.
•   Delivering the solution for Data Analytics in the Amazon AWS cloud

What we’re looking for:

•   4-year Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering degree
•   Hands on experience working on implementing applications in Amazon AWS Cloud
•   Hands on working with Python (Conda framework)
•   Experience working with security and confidentiality requirements for the data

Skills that will help you in the role:

•   Hands on working on core competencies, latest frameworks, End to end delivery experience
•   Experience with Java and JavaScript (modern)
•   Detail oriented and proven ability to understand business requirements and transform into fully functional technical solution

Where will you be working?
You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
