Markets Audit Specialist
New York

As a Barclays Markets Audit Specialist, you will work with audit colleagues as a valued member of a team and support the delivery of audits including the overall Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) Audit Plan execution. You will be able to collaborate with stakeholders in the trade lifecycle across different trading desks. What will you be doing?
•    Collaborating and supporting your Director to define the appropriate coverage strategy and audit plan for Markets
•    Managing audit work to ensure that relevant risks and controls have been identified and appropriately assessed
•    Helping the Audit Owner to manage audit teams on a day to day basis, working to ensure that audits progress as planned, as regards scope, budget and timetable
•    Continuing to update awareness of risk issues and changes across relevant business units and use this knowledge to update audit approach where necessary
•    Reviewing and completing processes and documentation of scoping, risk and control identification, control evaluation and observations in BIA audit toolkit
•    Writing high quality observations with input from the audit team as well
•    Providing complete, accurate and timely information for BIA reporting
•    Proactively taking on additional tasks as requested by the BIA Director/Managing Director

What we’re looking for:
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of services
•    Excellent experience in risk based auditing or risk/control activities and strong oral and written communication skills
•    Financial services industry knowledge as well as experience analyzing data with logical and quantitative approaches
•    Understanding of the relevant regulatory environment

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Solid working knowledge of FX, Rates and other financial markets products 
•    Working knowledge of Python, SQL/SAS or other programming language used in data analytics
•    Industry qualifications such as CPA, CIA, CFA, FRM, CISA
•    Team player and good attention to detail

Where will you be working?
You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
