Senior Developer

New York, NY

As a Barclays Senior Developer, you will be managing large and complex strategic technology delivery programs for the Markets and Research businesses driven by both regulatory change and commercial priorities. You will ensure that technical, risk and other standards and compliance requirements are met and that the project governance is defined and embedded across all areas. In your role, you will have close interactions with senior stakeholders across Sales and Technology.

What will you be doing?

  • Developing end-to-end Salesforce solutions by using both customization and configuration (APEX classes, Lightning Aura Components, Lightning web components)
  • Developing highly interactive UI, using Lightning, Visualforce
  • Automating business processes, using Salesforce automation tools (process builder, workflows, flows and formulas)
  • Implementing optimal Salesforce solutions, using best practices to meet business requirements
  • Integrating multiple systems with Salesforce, including internal proprietary and third party applications
  • Proactively engage on continuous improvement efforts for application design, support, and practice development efforts
  • Ensuring that technical, risk and other standards and compliance requirements are met and the project governance is comprehensively defined and embedded across all areas
  • Working with business stakeholders and senior IT management to define and execute IT strategy

What we’re looking for:

  • 8+ years’ experience with Force.com toolkit - Apex, Visual Force, Web Services/SOA & Metadata APIs, Lightning, SOQL, SOSL, Trigger, Process Builder, Unit Testing
  • Prior experience with configuration of existing and new Salesforce.com features, administration of user profiles, user role hierarchies, user setups, etc.
  • Proficient with REST APIs, Streaming API and experience building integrations with Salesforce.com and third party services

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience with GIT, ANT, IntelliJ/Eclipse, JIRA
  • Experience with Agile development methodology (SCRUM)
  • Experience with data migration and ETL/integration tools a plus
