As a Barclays Innovation Programmes Lead for the Innovation team, this is exciting opportunity for you to take real ownership in executing and driving forward a portfolio of programmes that will accelerate the growth of startups. Are you passionate about Fintechs? We are looking for a programmes lead to be based in our New York Rise Fintech lab, where you will be translating new innovative ideas into successful commercial outcomes.

What will you be doing?
• Working with internal and external partners to deliver programs and, ensure ensuring all deliverables are met and KPIs are set and measured
• Creating and maintaining relationships with multiple external associations, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and VC’s
• Working alongside the Head of Programs to, build and manage a portfolio of partners, and ensure that commercial objectives and deliverables for those are agreed and met
• Working in close partnership with our control functions to ensure that all relevant controls are being adhered to and closely managed on an ongoing basis
• Supporting marketing and communication team to amplify the message of program outputs and ensure Barclays is recognized as the go-to bank for tech entrepreneurs and innovation
• Tracking and managing budget on an annual basis for each program and partnership
What we’re looking for:
• Proven ability to deliver projects from idea to scale with Multi-stake holder management skills at all levels including internal and external senior stakeholders
• Effective Relationship management skills to liaise with of clients or external partners
• Experience in running governance process and controls with a complex operations environment would be a positive
• Experience of local innovation landscape, start-ups (particularly Fintechs), programs, accelerators, incubators, POC labs, corporate venturing and ecosystem engagement
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Knowledge of co-working competitors and influential Open Innovation approaches
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of the digital shift in financial services, the impact of FinTech and non-traditional competitors and the threats and opportunities they provide
• Experience in fast-moving technology industries or industries that have undergone significant business model disruption
• Capability to focus on continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility
