Job Title :  Hyperion Analyst 

Location : Noida
This role will be based out of Indian Noida location and report to Hyperion Support Manager – CB&P Chief Data Office. The individual will play a key role in the support of the Hyperion Essbase and planning applications for Finance, Risk and Treasury teams across Barclays Consumer Banking & Payments business area.  Provides finance customers with accurate reliable and simple MI to assist them in decision support, analysis and run the bank activities.

What will you be doing?
•    Provision of decision making capability to support day-to-day Essbase processes.
•    Identify & implement process improvements to support more efficient financial analysis.
•    Implement small change requests in accordance with bank specified policies.
•    Provide on-going communications support, maintenance, and enhancement of complex Essbase applications. 
•    Extensive experience in building load rules/writing MAXL, Calc scripts, Security Filters, Groups.
•    Design, build, develop and maintain automated feeds into systems – in particular the daily loads and hierarchies from core source systems.
•    Research and implement best practices related to use of Essbase application.
•    Experience in guiding ETL team in providing Business rules to build metadata and data load into Essbase.
•    Good understanding on any of MDM tools such as DRM, RDM to manage Essbase hierarchies, Property categories, verification and validations.
•    Experience in connecting relational sources from Essbase load rules to refresh metadata and data.
•    Optimize Hyperion Essbase cubes performance including FX/Currency conversions, data uploads, data exports, and data transfers to various scenarios and versions
•    Work with both multidimensional and relational database technologies to create application architecture consistent with the balance of the application portfolio
•    Provide continuity between the Essbase systems, the infrastructure teams, and adhere to Barclays best practices and standards
•    Maintain the Essbase data models in conjunction with other application systems
•    Develop and support data cleansing, transformation routines, data uploads, and data exports to various scenarios and versions
•    Coordinate and respond to operational support issues and opportunities

What we’re looking for :

•    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Engineering required 
•    At least years of experience in implementation and support of System 11 Hyperion Products with strong development experience in 
o    Oracle Essbase, Oracle Hyperion Planning, and Oracle DRM
o    MaXL, MDX, Business Rules, Aggregations, SmartView, Load Rules
•    Worked in Data Migration/Rollouts of Hyperion Budget, Forecast and Balances on multiple country rollout
•    Must have experience in building ASO and BSO, and Hybrid Essbase applications.
•    Good to have VBA, SmartView expertise, which includes use of the Essbase Extended Spreadsheet Toolkit and Essbase API (Application Programming Interface)
•    Good understanding of data warehousing, ETL tools (such as SSIS or Oracle Data Integrator), and relational data management for sourcing cube-based data marts.
•    Strong knowledge of SQL (familiarity with Hadoop / Hive) added advantage.
•    Good hands on one of these different Business Intelligence tools (OBIEE, Tableau, Power BI etc.)
•    Ability to handle a variety of responsibilities and drive success with limited resources in a matrix organization.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Skills that will help you in the role
•    Experience with finance analytics in retail banking and payments or related financial service industry combined with an understanding of a credit card P&L is a big plus.
•    Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud Technologies (EPBCS, PBCS, OACS (Oracle Analytics Cloud Services) and APIs).
•    Candidate needs to possess superior analytical and communication skills with ability to interact with personnel at all levels of the organization; customer service skills; organizational skills are a must.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•    Highly motivated, energetic, thorough, detail oriented and ability to multi-task.
