Digital Content Developer
Northampton

As a Barclays Digital Content Developer you will be driving delivery by championing, managing, developing, growing and improving the help and knowledge of management systems used. This is your opportunity to lead the creation of innovative communication and collaboration tools, to streamline / automate / digitize internal and customer facing processes that deliver efficiencies in process cycle time.

What will you be doing?
• You will be driving the alignment of intranet and strategy with Barclaycard strategies and priorities
• Leading liaison with all business units to ensure online requirements are understood and appropriately prioritised within the strategic planning process
• Working with those responsible for Group-wide Intranet governance and planning to drive compliance and integrated Group-wide planning
• Organising own workload, making strategic decisions on prioritisation of projects and small change requests to ensure strategic and tactical priorities are met
• Leading the development and management of the plans for implementing the above strategies from inception to final delivery
• Driving effective implementation of change for all projects by translating the requirements of the business and agreeing implementation schedules
• Planning and monitoring project progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate
• Driving relationships with key stakeholders to manage the smooth transition of projects into the production environment 

What we’re looking for:
• Knowledge of Office 365 applications, Adobe Photoshop, SharePoint, SharePoint Designer, Nintex workflows, Microsoft PowerApps / Automate and Adobe RoboHelp
• Exceptional level of technical authoring skills and ability to translate technical content into plain English
• SharePoint – creation of custom frontend solutions within the platform 
• Utilise best practice responsive web design techniques including CSS, HTML and JavaScript and a solid understanding of DDA requirements / usability concerns

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience in building complex dashboards and reports using data visualisation tools such as Tableau / Excel
• Experience of working in projects or of business/operational design
• Working understanding of the challenges faced by customer-facing teams
• Understanding of technology / techniques impacting efficiency of a browser based platform –Intranets, Usability Engineering, Knowledge Management, Group Portal

Where will you be working?
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. 
We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment.  Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
