As a Barclays SAS Developer, you will act as the conduit between the key Risk measurement and reporting business functions and the Group Risk Technology teams based in the UK and India to take the lead in delivering change for the production of Regulatory and Economic Capital Reporting. There is a keen focus on the production of timely and accurate reporting to our internal committees and our regulators. You will work in close liaison with the Solutions Architect and Senior Technology Lead for this area.

What will you be doing?
• Translating complex business requirements into technical designs that can be built against
• Working with a team of developers to shape the strategy for this key Regulatory product in partnership with the Solution Architect and the Senior Technology Lead
• Acting as the development interface to the business function will be key so the ability to translate a requirement to actionable design is of high importance
• Steering and mentoring less experienced Analyst Developers
• Day to day accountability to help drive the Group Risk strategy for RWA production and interlocking designs to meet the architectural roadmap for RFT
• Ensuring that synergies across the RFT Technology stack are leveraged and Architectural policies and practices are adhered to
• Drawing out detail, but maintaining a holistic overview of the end to end processes that support the generation of regulatory and Economic Capital reporting
What we’re looking for:
• Intermediate Level Experience of SAS Inc. solutions
• Intermediate Level experience of SAS Regulatory Risk Management or Credit Risk Management for Banking
• Solid interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
• Working knowledge of Cloud based solutions
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Working knowledge of Credit Risk, Capital Requirements Directive IV, CoRep and Basel III would be distinct advantage
• Big Data / Hadoop / Impala integration / Opensource technologies (Python / Scala) experience
• Relevant Solutions Business Analyst / Technology qualifications
• Some Solutions Architecture experience
Where will you be working?
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. This state-of-the art energy efficient building holds up to 2,500 staff. The office location is perfect for travel from the midlands and London alike as we are based just off the A45, it is easily accessible by both car and bus routes.
