Automation QA Engineer
Prague

As a Barclays Automation QA Engineer you will help to grow our strategic Synthetics and Middle Office platforms. The target applications are high throughput systems handling millions of events a day. Our applications keep on getting more complex due to continuous enhancements to address new business requirements and you will be part of QA team responsible for delivering all aspects of QA testing.

What will you be doing?

• Working within a globally distributed teams for testing and automation deliveries for Middle Office applications
• Writing and maintaining relevant Component and integration tests ensuring quality and minimising UAT/ Prod issues
• Following the Agile development/ execution methodology using scrums/ sprints etc.
• Ensuring that all activities are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards
• Contributing in design options on QA strategy and providing scalable quality solutions/ implementation based on industry best practices for given business problem
• Analysing defects & taking part in defect analysis
• Producing documented & tested software for delivery to production

What we’re looking for:

• Willingness to learn and pick up new skills quickly
• Solid experience in Java advanced concepts and OOP patterns
• Good understanding of technologies such as Linux, Maven, JMS, Spring, GIT
• Ability to work on multiple tasks

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Financial industry experience
• Experience in working with a diverse team spread across the globe
• Experience of Automation test framework development
• Clear oral and written communication skills

Our Prague office is part of the Operations and Technology Division, and as such, we try our best to stay at the top of our technological game.
