Credit Risk Technology Business Analyst

As a Barclays Credit Risk Technology Business Analyst you will support a Lead Business Analyst. You will work with application owners to define business requirements and feed this into the development teams. If you’re an IT person with a passion for Finance; Or a Finance person with a passion for IT – we would like to hear from you. You will be joining a team which supports our people & brings together financial specialists and IT professionals to achieve one goal - deliver high quality Credit Risk RWA systems.

What will you be doing?

• Providing support to the Lead Business Analyst, helping to define analysis approach in line with the strategic vision of the programme and the preferred methodology
• Participating in the Design process coordinated by the Programme Management team, from Design approval to functional design completion 
• Articulating and presenting commercial effectiveness of requirement proposals within a project or initiative 
• Facing off to one or many business areas/SME's understanding high level requirements and challenging where necessary 
• Supporting the Testing Strategy and contributing to the coverage of Test scenarios and conditions ensuring all requirements in scope are tested
• Working independently to elicit, validate and document systems requirements in BRDs or user/feature stories depending on the SDLC in use by the development teams
• Engaging with a broad group of stakeholders; negotiating and soliciting engagement and support, particularly where support is low or challenging
• Helping with system training for new users, or when new functionality is released and adapting to changing requirements, re-prioritising and changing course as necessary

What we’re looking for:

• Strong Business Analysis Experience and Business Analysis Accreditations
• Knowledge of specialist area to be credible with business users and SMEs and risk domain knowledge (PD, LGD, Credit Risk, Market Risk & IFRS9) is a must
• Experience of communicating with a wide array of people including experience of stakeholder management at various levels E.g. AVP, VP, D 
• Good understanding of project methodologies and their application within the organisation's project methodology

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Experience of preparing a range of key business analysis deliverables e.g. Requirement documentation; experience of working in Agile and usage of Confluence and Jira
• Some experience of the underpinning frameworks and tools for business analysis documentation e.g. UML / BPMN
• Knowledge of Data Analysis e.g. working with big datasets, creating SQL queries, confident Excel user and understanding of a software development lifecycle
• Strong stakeholder management, able to communicate at all levels and build sustainable relationships will be a plus
