QA Automation Engineer
Prague

As a Barclay’s QA Automation Engineer you will be contributing to various financial crime platform data processing components, tools and platform enhancements to provide cutting edge solutions, based primarily on Hadoop clusters. Your main focus will be to assure quality of releasing components during development cycle by analysing, designing and implementing automated integration tests.

What will you be doing?

• Participating in requirements analysis of new changes to understand well how to assure quality
• Controlling and monitoring testing progress, defect tracking and maintaining appropriate metrics
• Taking ownership of defining test cases and creating automated integration and end-to-end tests for new and existing features
• Working as part of the team on the delivery – to achieve good and effective test coverage of requirements
• Participating in Level 3 production support from quality perspective, mainly supporting issues root cause analysis and drive testing of the fixes, engaging with the support group
• Collaborating with the team and team Lead/ PM on the delivery, and contribute to incremental improvements of the development process
• Managing stakeholders’ expectations effectively and in an appropriate manner
• Working on your development – technical, business related and soft-skills in a proactive and consistent manner

What we’re looking for:

• Expertise in automation of integration tests, using Java or Scala language
• Behavior Driven Development experience – preferably Cucumber or jBehave frameworks
• Development essentials – GIT, IDE (preferably IntelliJ) and CI/ CD tools, like TeamCity, Nexus, Nolio
• Knowledge of Linux and basics of shell scripting

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Knowledge of Selenium
• Experience with REST API testing
• Knowledge of SQL, Devops stack - Chef, AWS, OpenShift
• Knowledge of Jira
