Regulatory Calculations Senior Business Analyst

As a Barclays Regulatory Calculations Senior Business Analyst you will work closely with data owners, BAs, Credit Risk developers, data consumers, end users. We support the build out of UK Regulatory Capital Calculations on the strategic platform across the Investment/Corporate Bank covering Counterparty Credit Risk, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Securitisations and Leverage Balance Sheet reporting. This involves migration of existing calculations from the legacy platform and on-boarding of new requirements.

What will you be doing?

• You will be a Functional Lead BA taking management responsibility for a regional/offshore team from coaching and development perspective
• Taking a lead on the data/system architecture design of solutions and leading analysis of source systems and current architectures
• Acting as a primary point of contact for the business to determine and document clear and concise business/functional requirements through meetings and workshops
• Documenting change in the form of data dictionaries, target architecture, entity/relationship logical modelling and data lineage
• Liaising with the Architecture/Data Design gatekeepers within the team to ensure that all new components fit within guiding principles
• Driving good processes and practices, ensuring that documentation is complete, comprehensive and signed off; and developing user procedures and training
• Assisting in the preparation and execution of User Testing including Impact Analysis and provide go-live and post implementation support
• Participating in the testing cycle and owning the resolution of defects pertaining to requirements and raising key issues and risks to the Project Manager/Delivery Lead

What we’re looking for:

• Expert knowledge and experience in a related Financial Services discipline and extensive Credit and Market risk business domain knowledge is a must
• Solid experience of working with Queries and Data Models and SQL and ability to assimilate information quickly and make informed decisions
• Experience in delivering projects using an Agile methodology and experience of working within cross-region teams and projects
• Excellent communication and presentation skills which will help you in your regular and confident interaction with end-users and customers

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Previous team leading experience
• Good working knowledge of Credit Risk in both the Corporate and Investment Banking landscape
• Solid experience working with Jira for creation of user stories and Agile scrum management
• Extensive data analysis experience
