Job Title:Application Development

Location: Pune

The Automation Development Lead will perform an important role in the delivery of automation across the bank implementation, maintenance, adoption and maturity the automation product. The Bank has purchased Ipsoft’s 1Desk automation and orchestration tool and will be using it as the platform to drive automation across the bank. The successful candidate will be a member of an agile development team driving sprint ceremonies and delivering automated solutions to the various stakeholders. Barclays uses the Disciplined Agile Delivery framework for its development.

What will you be doing?

Develop and Design solutions for various automation adhering to Barclays standards and industry best practices
Delivery Management of automations and APIs using Python and IPSoft 1Desk (training will be provided)
Oversee and review the development of re-usable components in 1Desk built using the integrated designer and Javascript
Co-ordinate and discuss requirement, automation, design, blockers, solutions and progress with business stakeholders. Build strong relation with them for driving seamlessly
Conduct and head all scrum ceremonies.
Keep track of JIRA stories and epics and its hygiene
Own JIRA Dashboard – this is a management view hence its information accuracy is critical
Own and drive the development and integration of HCF platform using python/SQL
Work with other application and infrastructure teams to ensure solutions are delivered in accordance with compliance guidelines, and are in line with other bank-wide initiatives. E.g. AWS
Work with the Business Analysts to understand the end to end requirement and design the automation solution using 1Desk where applicable.
Contribute on a daily basis to a collaborative and agile environment, provide support where appropriate to other members of the team
Develop patterns and knowledge to enable teams to maximise usage of these tools with minimal upfront training
Actively seek out areas for improvement and deliver these through agreed roadmaps

What we’re looking for:

  - Tableau/Javascript
  - Python and Other Scripting skills ( Bash, Shell etc.)
  - MS SQL
  - Middleware technologies (WAS, JBOSS, Tomcat, Apache HTTPD, Java, IIS)
  - Automated testing approaches
  - Automated deployment and releases technologies
  - Databases ( e.g. Oracle, SQL server, MongoDB, MySQL)
  - Basic Infrastructure components/architecture (Servers - AIX, Linux and Windows)
  - Hosting approaches (Physical, virtual, cloud, AWS)

- - Windows PowerShell

Strong analytical skills
