Job Title: Senior Developer – Core Platform

Location: Pune

This role will function as a Lead Developer EDW Pune space for the Strategic Platform & Applications for Data Quality, Control & Regulatory Program. The team is responsible to design & deliver strategic platform & applications. The team is also responsible to ensure the Data Quality and Completeness of the Data sent from RFT Data Warehouse. The role will also extend to support any Adhoc inquiries from internal clients & downstream systems.

The role mandates to have an expertise in Java and SQL (Mandatory), Hadoop along with UNIX and Autosys knowledge. The person needs to have a very good understanding of the Macro Business, Cash Equities and Equities Derivatives business and various business areas within Equities & Derivatives which will help drive define the Strategy for the overall DQ and Control program.

In addition, the candidate will be expected to work with their counterparts in the Europe and Pune to keep the deliverables on track and run Weekly calls with their Global peers.

What will you be doing?
  • Design and Architect the various API framework for Fabric Analytics and Reporting Stream
  • Lead & Deliver the Audit Items & BICEPs in the DQ, Control space
  • Lead & Manage a team and ensure the Team objectives and priorities are well understood.
  • Ensure the RFT DMT Strategic requirements & reporting
  • Provide Technical guidance to the team on the New Technologies (Hadoop/Impala) being used.
What we’re looking for:

The person must have minimum 10 years of Experience in Software Development with

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree
  • Extensive hands-on experience in JAVA/J2EE software development
  • Extensive experience in Hadoop/Spark
  • Strong Unix, Shell Scripting, Autosys
The primary requirement is for candidate to have the below skills:
  • Experience of using Java for high-reliability and multi-threaded server-side applications
  • Processing real time messaging with low-latency and high-throughput, store in data warehouse and in memory databases
  • Batch processing heavy volume feeds
  • Excellent working knowledge of integration patterns, microservices architecture and implementation of RESTful and SOAP based services
  • Hands on knowledge of Kafka, Flume, Hive, Spark, Impala, Hbase, YARN, Zookeeper, Scala
  • Experience with Spark Streaming and Kafka in large scale enterprise environment
  • Financial and equities domain knowledge
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Advanced Degree in Computer Science
  • Application development using middleware technologies (MQ, Solace or Tibco)
  • Knowledge with Maven, GIT, TeamCity, Nexus, SonarCube, IntelliJ Idea
  • Experience working with Protocol Buffers/Camel
  • Understanding of XML and XPath processing.
  • Experience with Data warehouse and Database development
  • Strong analytical skills and logical thinking to manage issues in a high-pressure environment
  • Knowledge & Hands on experience in using AWS cloud platform apps is good to have
