Job Title: ETL & BI Architect

Location: Pune

Introduction:

Purpose of the proposed role is to be the ETL & BI Architect for the data team. To provide the technical solutions and guidance to the engineers. Laydown strong ETL and BI road map for the team and the projects we are involved. Provide BI and DW guidance and drive an high quality engineering practise with in the team.

You will work with various federated teams and guide them in Ab Initio design, development and implementation.

  • You will be responsible for the Datawarehousing and Business Intelligence solutions. You will be hands on delivering strategic MI , Dashboard, and other Visualisation requirements. Delivering the visualisation function for the team
  • You will be responsible in leading the Visualisation technical decisions and choice of tools based on the requirement (Qlik, Tableau, Python, Actuate, D3 etc.) including the platform setup, sizing etc
  • You will also troubleshoot various problems/errors encountered by federated team while developing Ab Initio based ETL applications.
  • You will have high-level knowledge about other technologies like Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle, Mainframe etc. It will help to develop efficient Ab Initio code interfacing with those technologies
  • Data Derivation, Data Mapping and Data Modelling, Visualisation Development. [60%]
  • Creating the required plan and technical delivery road map and design.[10%]
  • Creating the Visualisation platform and finalising the tools [10%]
  • Inputs to the functional document creation [10%]
  • Interact with SME to gather information
  • Study various strategy documents available within the organization
  • Reviews & Sign-Off technical output of developers
  • Inputs to the other teams like Run/Production Support Teams etc

What will you be doing?

  • To be the lead engineer for the ETL & BI Function especially specialising in A>I and widerange of Visualisation tools (Qlik, Tableau, D3, Python etc)
  • To evaluate the requirements with impact assessments for all the projects across the data team
  • To be able to define Frame Works, Generic , Reusable components for the ETL Team using A>I, Spark
  • To create a resilient BI Environment for the FTC i.e. all datawarehousing and reporting components are run without any failure and having a proper DR capability
  • To create standard practices and procedures for all the developer community
  • To deliver high quality mi and visualisation from engineering function,
  • To drive technical skill set enhancement for the engineering function from BI perspective
  • To deliver cost effective and repeatable patterns for Data Team
  • Ownership of the BI Engineering deliveries

What we’re looking for:

  • Should have strong hands-on experience on Ab Initio GDE. Troubleshoot any Ab Initio related problem/error, implemented realtime, batch based solutions with large volume of data processing. Should have delivered Warehouse projects.
  • Should have strong hands-on experience on Visualisation Tools (Qlik, Tableau, D3, Python etc) related problem/error, implemented realtime, batch based solutions with large volume of data. Should have delivered Warehouse projects with experience in data modelling.
  • Should have working knowledge SQL and NOSQL databases like Teradata, Oracle, Hadoop, and Streaming data.
  • Provide expertise and continuity across both the business solution and technical solution involving Ab Initio and BI  Builds effective relationships with all stakeholders including federated project teams, BU SPOC, GIS etc
  • Relevant years of experience – 12 years or more.
