Analytics Risk Manager

As a Barclays Senior Analytics Risk Manger within the Asset Liability Management (ALM) Risk team you will support the analysis and management of non-traded market risk (NTMR) within the banking book businesses. You will be responsible for certain operational aspects of the NTMR function, such as: conformance with the Group Risk Policies, conformance with the market risk limits; and operate the procedures to adhere to agreed market risk appetite.

What will you be doing?
•    Supporting the identification, measurement and management of Interest rate risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB), FX risk and other market risks within the banking book
•    Producing regular and ad hoc MI/ analysis related to IRRBB and other ALM risks
•    Reviewing and challenging new products from risk perspective and work with Business, Finance and Treasury to ensure that the risks are managed appropriately
•    Supporting the review and challenge of IRRBB hedging strategies, IRRBB behavioral assumptions
•    Ensuring that all products are accurately modelled and risk metric results are accurate
•    Reviewing and challenging regulatory reporting related to IRRBB and other ALM risks
•    Monitoring market risk for Treasury investment desks in accordance with Volcker Rule regulation
•    Supporting valuation risk forecasting, analysis and governance for AFS/ HTM investments on the balance sheet 


What we’re looking for:
•    Bachelor’s degree in quantitative subject or previous relevant equivalent experience
•    Knowledge of VaR, EaR, EVE and other risk management tools and practices
•    Understanding of governance and control frameworks
•    Prior experience using QRM

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Understanding of ALM and IRRBB specific regulations (e.g. Basel, PRA guidelines on IRRBB)
•    Understanding of Treasury ALM management
•    Advanced Excel skills
