The Securitized Products mortgage analytics provider (MAPI) team builds and maintains the infrastructure underlying the distributed analytics engine used to compute risk and analytics for securitized products. The work in the team involves a computational grid with thousands of cores, building and managing high data-throughput and performance servers that provide services to the engines running on the computation grid, and working in close coordination with the quantitative analytics team in order to onboard our risk to the strategic risk generation platform. Numerous technologies are employed in building our platform - C++, Coherence (JAVA), TIB messaging, grid computing and windows and linux systems programming. The team works with a very data-intensive environment, where large amounts of data being handled puts strain on the systems memory, CPU, middleware and network. Development and design work in this role has to be cognizant of the systems performance, throughput and resource consumption.

What will you be doing?

• Help out with various regulatory initiatives critical for the firm
• Help out with on-boarding risk calculation on strategic analytics engine platform
• Help out with BAU and support for MAPI
• Liaise with Business Partners and various IT team
• Manage inter-team communication and team message during crisis management
• Use analytical and problem solving skills to manage production issues

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelors Degree
• 4+ years of hands-on programming in C++
• 4+ years of experience required in relational database technology
• Hands-on programming in scripting language (Perl, Python, Ruby)
• Superior knowledge of shell scripting, sed, awk etc.
• Familiarity with the Visual Studio IDE

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Knowledge of Windows shell equivalents (powershell, bat etc.)
• Knowledge of TIB middleware messaging.
• Knowledge of Coherence and / or GridGain.
• Knowledge of Grid computing.
• Knowledge of Autosys and experience handling batch processes.
