Cybercrime Intelligence Analyst
Whippany, NJ

As a Barclays Cybercrime Intelligence Analyst you will be responsible for the monitoring, alerting, reporting and analysis of emerging cybercriminal tactics, tools and procedures in order to provide key Barclays stakeholders and actionable intelligence that influences an improved security control posture on digital channel services provided to our clients and customers. You will also get the opportunity to support wider Fraud, Financial Crime and Investigations teams within the bank.

What will you be doing?
•    Triaging and analyzing intelligence related to cybercrime threats targeting Barclays customers
•    Working with subject matter experts from the Barclays fraud teams to understand the existing cybercrime threat landscape
•    Interpreting synergies between pieces of intelligence in order to identify potential changes to the cybercrime threat landscape
•    Identifying and disseminating well formulated recommendations to teams across the bank to mitigate loss to the bank and its customers
•    Maintaining good relationships with industry partners and law enforcement colleagues to enable Barclays to tackle cybercrime at an industry level
•    Conducting deep-dive analysis on successful and near miss fraud cases to draw out cyber-enabled fraud trends and identify required changes to the banks fraud control systems
•    Working with Fraud and Financial Crime teams to analyze large and complex datasets linked to cyber-financial cases, to generate actionable intelligence to prevent attacks
•    Conducting and communicating analysis into cyber threat campaigns, threat actors and threat evolution, placing into context the resulting current and future threat to Barclays

What we’re looking for:
•    Experience working in cyber-fraud intelligence collection & analysis or cyber-enabled fraud investigation and normalize and analyse large structured/ unstructured datasets 
•    Knowledge of latest cyber-enabled and cyber-facilitated fraud/ scam trends and TTPs used by cybercriminals, including social engineering tactics 
•    Experience with fraud detection and prevention systems such as ThreatMetrix and BioCatch
•    Experience of using analytical tools and platforms such as i2, Quantexa, Splunk and SAS 

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Previous experience of Cyber Threat Intelligence methodologies - investigative pivoting models, investigative frameworks, MITRE ATT&CK, and the Extended Cyber Kill Chain
•    Knowledge of the payment card transaction chain and how it is attacked by cybercriminals to facilitate Card Not Present (CNP) fraud
•    Basic knowledge of security network architectures (e.g. Firewalls, DMZ, proxies, DNS, web and mail servers) and the principles of network security
•    Familiarity with Python/ Perl/ Bash scripting and database languages such as SQL
