Growth & Scale Program Manager - VP

Whippany, NJ

As a Barclays Program Manager you’ll work in Futures, OTC clearing and Intermediation (FX & Rates) businesses. The role is cross-product and requires hands on deep technology experience, a focus on identifying customer-centric and commercial opportunities backed by understanding of best practices and industry standards to further our competitive advantage.

What will you be doing?

Further STP/Streamlining and efficient front to back processing across Industry (CCPs), Internal and Utility providers such as FIS
Implementation of newer industry trends such as Data analytics, Machine Learning, Block chain as core components to change operating model and drive data driven processing decisions
Drive TCO improvement initiatives via platform hygiene (hardware / infrastructure utilization, cloud adoption, incident reduction, thereby enabling reduced cost per trade.
Adopt Dev OPS best practices (test automation, release and build management, monitoring and instrumentation)
Optimize and increase Developer productivity (leverage Blue Optima, standard developer tool kit)
Manage vendor relationships, specifically with FIS Utility (Futures clearing). This includes evaluating products and services, managing invoices, and working with sourcing to negotiate contracts.
Execute on the strategic vision as well as manage complex technology delivery programs driven by commercial and regulatory priorities for these functional areas.
Develop, hire and retain talent within leading /newer set of technologies

What we’re looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical engineering or related fields
Significant experience with software design and development throughout SDL and managing complex technology deliveries across a global team
10+ years of extensive experience in managing projects with diverse technical stack ranging across Java,ReactJS/Angular, PL-SQL, Python, Windows/Linux, Oracle/MSSQL, AWS, Business Intelligence
Extensive experience with Linux / Unix and Distributed file system

Skills that will help you in the role:

Sound Product knowledge and/or Barclays institutional knowledge (ideally both) across over the counter (OTC) for Rates, Credit & FX and Listed derivatives
Regulatory knowledge – Regulatory Bodies: ESMA (European Securities & Markets Authority) and CFTC (US Commodity Futures Trading Commission)
Agile & Lean methodology training
Demonstrated experience in implementing process improvements like developer productivity tools, Application
