Senior Data Architect/ Modeler
Whippany, NJ

As a Barclays Senior Data Architect/ Modeler you will be responsible for driving robust, scalable and optimal data architecture that integrate with operational and data analytical processes. You will get the opportunity to design data models and integrations with applications through data architecture flows to meet the organization’s current and future needs. You will work with different application teams to understand the requirements from business to transform them in data models.

What will you be doing?
•   Working on data architecture with expertise in data management, governance and controls with ability to drive the solutions for Barclays customer and data journey
•   Cooperating with various application teams across businesses to understand the data architecture needs and provide solutions
•   Acting as subject matter expert on data architecture needs that designs, creates and deploys the models aligning with best practices standards defined within Barclays
•   Participating in solution design related to data design and usage by defining best practices, standards and road maps
•   Managing data definition, usage, quality, metrics for data attributes, data models and data dictionary and ensuring/ measuring to follow all the data architecture standards
•   Adapting to newest technologies and presenting applicable changes to help drive new initiatives
•   Collaborating and participating in discussions with business analysts, technical architects and technical leads to develop data models and data architecture flows
•   Facilitating and conduct design reviews internally and to other teams to present data strategy and the vision for data architecture

What we’re looking for:
•   Experience in data architecture and modelling
•   Expertise in data modelling skills of relational, dimensional and non-relational models using tools such as ER/ Studio, ERwin
•   Ability to do data profiling, analysis, research, plan and present use cases to stakeholders to drive new solutions
•   Ability to own and conduct different data conversations to develop different conceptual, logical and physical data models, API definitions and data deliverables

Skills that will help you in the role:
•   Financial credit card domain experience with focus on customer, account, marketing and communications
•   Understanding of business API, micro services
•   Experience in cloud technologies
