US Consumer Bank Operator

As a Barclays US (United States) Consumer Bank Operator, you will be working collaboratively with others to develop great client relationships and lead delivery of the Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) US Consumer Bank Audit Plan. You will have the opportunity to work with the BIA team to be responsible for providing assurance of the effectiveness of the US Consumer Bank business operations controls to the Board Audit Committee and other key stakeholders.

What will you be doing?
•    Supporting audit scoping and planning using the audit toolkit
•    Identifying assessing and documenting risks and controls and complete testing
•    Evaluating the designing and operating effectiveness of controls 
•    Updating the audit team with progress and observations and suggesting practical ways of improving the work they do and apply where appropriate
•    Performing issues validation test procedures
•    Writing high quality audit observations and supporting the audit owner in writing the report
•    Proactively taking on additional tasks or projects at the request of the director/managing director
•    Performing continuous monitoring of relevant business areas in the US consumer bank, including products, operations and related digital bank activities

What we’re looking for:
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of services
•    Great experience in auditing or experience in relevant financial services businesses and products 
•    Exceptional level of written and verbal communication skills demonstrating a collaborative approach across a range of stakeholders, including senior colleagues
•    Team player, supporting colleagues to achieve team objectives and solid analytical skills with a high degree of attention to detail

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Relevant professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA and CISA
•    Experience with or exposure to data analytics, coding such as Python, SQL and/or other data science/machine learning techniques
•    Knowledge of new and emerging financial products and services
•    Practical understanding of relevant regulatory environment

A glance out our windows reveal a scenic look at the Christina River, along with a growing riverfront community of luxury apartments, shops, and restaurants. Additionally, the Wilmington train station is a short walk away making travel from New York and Washington, DC convenient.
