Product Manager

As a Barclays Product Manager in the Retail Expansion Strategic Delivery group, you will have ownership of a key financial product, critical processes, or customer engagement channel that supports the Private Label Credit Card product of Retail Expansion business. You will have responsibility for the product roadmap, while providing guidance to the technology teams. You will deliver significant business outcomes in terms of revenue, cost savings and customer satisfaction.

What will you be doing?

•    Contributing to the multi-year product strategy and product roadmap, that aligns to the business strategy for the Private Label Product of Retail Expansion line of business
•    Exploring business and partner needs, developing innovative solutions, and translating solutions into an executable plan of action
•    Liaising with Technology on Product solutions; ensuring Customer Experience & Product Capability across Acquisition, Merchant Connectivity, Product Configuration
•    Leading strategic capability discussions with various sub functions to influence and drive product capabilities with cutting edge market positioning
•    Leading and constructing Product/Customer Experience Journeys, working with stakeholders from various Barclays sub-functions
•    Translating product roadmap into product backlog to ensure the strategic intent of any solution that is developed meets both the customer and business goals
•    Manage product backlog, adjust for risk, and prioritize product backlog. Ensuring work items are sequenced and drive iteration goals and content via prioritized stories
•    Leading backlog grooming to deconstruct, refine and estimate stories, add acceptance criteria


What we’re looking for:

•    Bachelor’s degree
•    3+ years of experience in financial services industry; in strategy, product, or marketing roles
•    3+ years of experience in product ownership in an agile environment

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Functional Product Owner with Financial Sector Leadership experience, with experience of working with processors like TSYS
•    Retail/Store Cards experience in functions like Acquisition, Merchant Connectivity, Settlements, Account processing/servicing. 
•    Customer experience skills including journey mapping
•    SAFe, Certified Scrum Product Owner or Certified Scrum Professional, Product Management/ Pragmatic Marketing Certification, Consumer Research

Barclays' Wilmington campus includes two beautiful buildings located along the historic Wilmington Riverfront. A glance out our windows reveal a scenic look at the Christina River, along with a growing riverfront community of luxury apartments, shops, and restaurants. Additionally, the Wilmington train station is a short walk away making travel from New York and Washington, DC convenient.
