Delivery Operations Manager

Hong Kong

As a Barclays Delivery Operations Manager you will ensure that the Global Markets Operations (GMO) change priorities are being driven from within and that we are influencing and contributing to the bank’s strategic and regulatory change agenda.  You will work across GMO Post Trade and Middle Office to articulate business cases for priorities and drive these through the internal sponsorship process.

What will you be doing?

  • Identifying automation opportunities, capturing testing scenarios and articulating them to the stakeholders for further analysis and documentation
  • Collaborating across project team members and helping with activities such as test planning and working on UAT with the stakeholders
  • Running workshops with SMEs to understand the end-to-end process while identifying any automation blockers and the suitability of the process for automation
  • Taking responsibility for requirements gathering to capture as-is process and map to-be process vision
  • Calculating automation percentage and FTE benefit and build business cases
  • Working closely with development team to ensure requirements are accurately mapped and suitable for development

What we’re looking for:

  • Excellent communicator who can effectively use the right medium across all levels of the function and build successful relationships with key stakeholders, SMEs and other functions
  • Ability to demonstrate a structured, outcome-oriented approach and to anticipate and head off problems that could jeopardize the outcome of global projects
  • Ability to recognize when a project is challenged versus plan and if required ability to escalate and develop an effective remediation plan
  • Detailed knowledge operations teams such as, Trade Management, Confirmations, Collateral & Portfolio Management, Settlement & Delivery and Reconciliations

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Highly resilient and resourceful attitude with a proven track record in engaging and influencing others to ensure project tasks are delivered per timelines
  • Proven skills in the use of documentation, planning and presentation software tools e.g. Advanced MS Office, SharePoint, Visio skills, MS Access
  • Ability to use statistical methods to support/ disprove hypotheses, identify correlations, trends
  • Knowledge & experience of some of these Product Families: Securities, Listed Futures & Options, Foreign Exchange, OTC Derivatives

Where will you be working?

Our offices are situated in the center of Hong Kong’s financial district, at 2 Queen’s Road. Cheung Kong Centre is an investment banking hub that offers panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and Kowloon Peninsula. There is a variety of local amenities and you will be just a short walk from shopping malls, health clubs and multiple transport links.
