Assistant Vice President – FICC Content Client Strategy

As a Barclays Assistant Vice President on the FICC Content Client Strategy team, you will be supporting the global head of the team in the execution of strategic priorities and key deliverables. While providing coverage for US Credit Research, you will be developing tools to further the monetization agenda and report on key metrics to stakeholders. Your contribution as part of the broader Research Content Monetization group will ensure that clients recognize our analysts’ differentiated insights.

This role is regulated by FINRA.

What will you be doing?

  • Developing and maintaining a strong working relationship with research analysts, management and sales to understand the credit markets, current trends, and more
  • Building a strong relationship with research content product management to ensure a coordinated marketing and event plan for US credit research reports and initiations
  • Working with credit sales to prioritize and advance client agendas and business priorities via Barclays Research events offerings
  • Improving and streamlining processes, and developing tools to help the team measure impact on monetization efforts
  • Reporting KPIs of credit research groups to business stakeholders and research management
  • Taking on logistical aspects of broader strategic initiatives with an exceptional attention to detail

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field, with Series 7 & 63 or the ability to acquire within 3 months of hiring
  • 5+ years of financial services experience preferably in sales, client strategy, business management, research product management or corporate access
  • Strong ability to work with multiple constituencies, both internally and externally (e.g. Research, Sales, Trading, Clients)
  • Desire to support innovative solutions that will streamline processes and enhance efficiency

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Advanced Excel skills, strong analytical orientation, and experience with project management
  • Basic programming skills and statistics background are a plus
  • Ability to design and communicate technical requirements for development
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and make sound business judgment, self-starter, detail-oriented, excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
