Job Title:Solution Architect

Location: Pune
Introduction:

To build and deliver a cloud native credit processor product for the bank

What will you be doing?

Delivery (75%)

  • Defining high level design and detailed design of the product on AWS
  • Supporting development of the Concept, End-to-End Solution including Functional and Technical designs, ensuring the architectural governance approvals are obtained
  • Designing and supporting the implementation of resilient, scalable solutions for the platform

Stakeholder Management and Leadership (25%)

  • Promote and drive stewardship and application best practices within the development team
  • Champion innovation by recognising newly arising opportunities for improving customer satisfaction, achieving technical excellence and improving the delivery of a software product.
  • Ability to be able to provide succinct details in written format and verbally to Stakeholders

Decision-making and Problem Solving

  • You're an analytical, problem solver, data-metrics-driven thinker who is deeply empathetic and leads with a user-centered approach.
Risk and Control Objective
  • Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards

  • Adhere to Policies & Standards appropriate to the role - outlined in the Code of Conduct and mandatory training. Will also be required to ensure that all risks identified are managed as per Risk Framework procedures, ensure risk events (incidents) and control failures are investigated, reported, fixed and/or escalated to prevent reoccurrence.
  • In addition, will be responsible to ensure all personal mandatory training is completed within timelines and any key controls.
What we’re looking for:
  • Experience in architecting and delivering E2E mission critical applications on AWS.
  • Understands AWS Cloud technologies at IAAS layer (network, compute, storgae) and managed services such as RDS, Kinesis, IAM and Cognito
  • Experience architecting stateless and stateful applications for containers and container managers such as Kuberenetes and AWS EKS.
  • Experience with event driven and real time architecture patterns, messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka, Kinesis and AWS Managed Services for Kafka.
  • Ability to architect and model mission critical solutions leveraging multiple DBMS technologies i.e. Relational, No SQL (MongoDB and AWS DynamoDB)
  • Experience architecting and building microservice applications using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud etc.
Skills that will help you in the role:
  • Exposure of complex, distributed technologies, AWS, micro-services, messaging, APIs, Data transformation, ETL, Monitoring tools, Infrastructure and Security Designs
  • Understanding of key consideration in Secure systems & software design, Resilience and High-Availability patterns for mission-critical applications
