Asset Finance Middle Office Analyst

As a Barclays Asset Finance Middle Office Analyst, you will act as a liaison between the trading desk, banking and other infrastructure areas. Ensuring the front to back trade flow and risk representation in trade capture systems are completed timely and accurately, along with the economic details of trades are agreed with counterparties. Your role will sit within Investment Bank Middle Office (IBMO), which is a global function that sits under the Global Markets Operations umbrella.

What will you be doing?

• Tying out the final funding population with investors and facilitate the settlement process
• Ensuring all trade bookings and transaction events are coordinated and accurately booked and coordinated for each settlement cycle and to the terms of the agreement(s)
• Being responsible for Servicer Remittance Processing and tying out final servicer reports to loans purchased or financed
• Ensuring fees, interest, and principal activity is collected, processed, and recorded pursuant to terms of agreement and Barclays accounting policy
• Facilitate the execution of a New Issue by working with banking and syndicate trading to obtain DTC eligibility and close the deal
• Following up on failed trades and reconfirm economic details with counterparties, working with settlements and Transaction Capture Utility(TCU) to clear failing trades
• Monitoring real time transaction flow, trade updates, and exception queues to ensure timely and accurate trade representation and flow to the front and back office systems
• Coordinating with various settlements groups to resolve any trade settlement, cash and stock breaks, security set up or matching issues

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance or related field
• Experience in a Middle Office or Operations role within Financial Services

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Asset Finance, Repo, Syndicate New Issue experience
• Experienced with residential mortgage loan data attributes / mortgage collateral files
• Thorough understanding of cash and financing Fixed Income Instruments and the life cycle of the trade
• Excellent problem solving, technical, written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
