As a Barclays Syndicate Middle Office Analyst, you will support the Syndicate/Sales desk to handle the Underwriting procedures from origination through to the closing of offering. You will have heavy interface with multiple stakeholders involved with the Underwriting of new issuances. You will use your expertise to ensure the front to back trade flow and risk representation in trade capture systems are completed timely, accurately and economic details of trades are agreed with counterparties.

What will you be doing?
• Gathering supporting documentation and preliminary details of the offering to obtain Cusip for offering
• Submitting funding requirements pertaining to the deal and obtain Final documentation in preparation for closing
• Obtaining wire instructions from counterparties to lockdown box
• Obtaining funding memo from Banking / Desk for remittance of payment on closing
• Acting as liaison between Barclays and stakeholders involved with deal offering
• Answering internal and external client trade enquiries
• Main operations client contact involving underwriting administration process involving DTC eligibility process and preparation for the settlement/closing of offerings
• Central point of contact between the Front Office and the other operations infrastructure groups, such as Settlements, Security Static Data, Asset Servicing, Treasury and Liquidity
What we’re looking for:
• Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance or related field
• Experience working in a financial services firm, ideally within Operations
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Syndicate New Issue experience
• Knowledge of corporate and equities products
• Thorough understanding of cash and financing Fixed Income Instruments and the life cycle of the new issuance process
• Excellent problem solving, technical, written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
