Credit Strategy Lead

As a Barclays Credit Strategy Lead you will have responsibility within the Credit Strategy area optimizing spend capabilities for a customer to drive resilient growth of the Barclays US Credit Card portfolio. Including evaluation of various data sources to optimize exposure management processes. You will manage strategy design and direction, implementation and validation, and program level performance tracking for internal and external reporting.

What will you be doing?


• Developing and recommending strategy changes to wider business leads in exposure management programs – Credit Limit Changes
• Formulating and conducting extensive analytical and profitability deep dive exercises in order to improve existing business strategies and policies
• Leading the initiatives in Senior Leadership Business Meetings and working with functional teams such as Risk, Legal, Compliance, Technology Operations
• Ensuring compliance of policies and procedures on both existing and new strategies

What we’re looking for:


• Bachelor’s degree quantitative disciplines preferred
• 5+ years of analytical experience in financial services industry; credit card experience preferred
• 2+ years of experience with SAS/SQL or other relevant statistical tools

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Master’s degree preferred
• Strong analytical, technical and statistical skills with proven ability to process vast amounts of data into meaningful information
• Strong knowledge of SQL, SAS and Excel and communication skills, with the ability to present information
• Previous experience in Financial Services Industry and Credit Risk Management
