Sourcing Manager Team Lead 
Manchester

As a Barclays Sourcing Manager Team lead you will lead a team of Sourcing Managers who are responsible for delivery of deals primarily for the Physical Banking Ops category. You will be directly responsible for managing commercial deals in excess of £800M annually and are required to work collaboratively and strategically with the internal teams sitting within Procurement and Legal and SME functions as well as with External Suppliers, to deliver a consistently high quality product and service.

What will you be doing?
•    Delivering, managing and leading team members to deliver end to end Sourcing activity from requirements scoping, sourcing strategy development and eRFX negotiations
•    Coordinating category plans driven by the sourcing/category leads into business objectives, and translating those into planned sourcing activities for the category
•    Ensuring the team manages end to end Sourcing events including commercial negotiations with relevant Vendors 
•    Partnering as appropriate with the legal support teams to ensure consistent and favourable commercial terms which always mitigate business risk for Barclays 
•    Ensuring the team follows all relevant Sourcing documentation which is required to be inputted as part of the deal management 
•    Ensuring contract systems are compliant with business and internal policy requirements
•    Supporting teams in opportunity assessment and identification
•    Monitoring the sourcing projects to ensure delivery remains aligned to desired business outcomes

What we’re looking for:
•    Extensive experience in procurement with a reputable firm, preferably in financial services industry with exposure to Banking Operations
•    Knowledge and experience of specific markets and key vendors and a detailed knowledge of appropriate commercial models and approaches/techniques to achieve best in class deals
•    Proven track record of overall management and direction of small teams / sub-functions where the development of staff has been a core delivery
•    Experience in Project Management and execution, including collaborative stakeholder management


Skills that will help you in the role:
•    CIPS qualified
•    Experience within data analysis

A multi divisional space with Corporate, Wealth, Premier and Digital colleagues, the offices include a client suite for meetings for up to 100 people, but are equally intimate for smaller meetings.
