As a Barclays Technology Sourcing Manager you will work collaboratively and strategically with the internal teams of Procurement and Legal and the necessary subject matter experts (SMEs), e.g. Tax, Risk and Information Security functions, and with external suppliers, to deliver a consistently high quality service and to execute deals in accordance with policy. Your role sits within the technology category with a combined annual spend under influence of circa £2.3 billion.

What will you be doing?
• Delivering of sourcing policy compliant deals with third party suppliers, which meets requirements, mitigates risk and leverage spending power to deliver value for money
• Supporting members and working collaboratively across Sourcing and Procurement
• Working closely with the Category teams to support the development and effective execution of category strategies
• Working closely with the Client teams to jointly interpret and satisfy the requirements of the business units
• Developing and managing the sourcing strategy and process (including tenders; single-source negotiations; and change management activities
• Being responsible for maintaining all management information, documentation and data as required with a high degree of accuracy in a timely fashion
• Working collaboratively with internal teams and with external suppliers to deliver a high quality service in the form of contractual agreements
What we’re looking for:
• Extensive Strategic Sourcing experience within Technology
• Strategic Sourcing experience exclusively within Software and Services
• Previous experience of working within a multi-business unit/global organisation; £500m+ addressable spend
• Experience of working within a regulated environment (ideally financial services)
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Experience working within Financial Services
• Supply chain/value chain design experience
• CIPS or Industry Equivalent
Where will you be working?
In the centre of Spinningfields, Hardman Street is right in the centre of the best of Manchester’s professional business network. A multi divisional space with Corporate, Wealth, Premier and Digital colleagues, the offices include a client suite for meetings for up to 100 people, but are equally intimate for smaller meetings. Set in the heart of the cities gyms , bars, restaurants and shopping, Barclays offices are a real benefit to its 300 staff and an attractive venue for clients.
