eTrading Market Risk Manager 
New York

As a Barclays eTrading Market Risk Manager you will join the eTrading Market Risk Management team which sits within the broader Market Risk Management department. Its purpose is to provide 2nd line Risk oversight for electronic trading activities across Rates, FX, Credit and Equities, in line with Barclays governance and controls procedures. You will oversee the electronic trading for AMER Macro Trading, primarily Rates and Credit.

What will you be doing?

•    Gaining in depth technical knowledge of the AMER Rates and Credit electronic systems, in particular for Algorithmic trading, and financial products they support
•    Gaining in depth understanding of the Barclays eTrading governance and controls procedures, and Regulatory expectations for electronic trading
•    Assessing the efficacy and effectiveness of controls through the end-to-end order flows of eTrading system
•    Reviewing business initiatives and associated documentation around eTrading and electronic execution 
•    Providing check and challenge for new eTrading systems being onboarded and Algorithms, to ensure these comply with eTrading governance and controls 
•    Working with the asset class market risk managers for the approval of any intraday risk limits, and limit methodologies
•    Analyzing and reviewing historical utilization traded data to calibrate limit values at which controls are set
•    Real time monitoring of risk control triggers and prompt investigations

What we’re looking for:

•    Masters or MBA in a quantitative field
•    Work experience in one of the following functions: Algo Trading, Statistical modelling, eTrading technology, eTrading Risk such as Operational, or Market Risk

Skills that will help you in the role:

•    Working knowledge of Fixed income markets (Rates, Credit), in particular products traded through algorithms
•    Understanding of Rules and Regulations on electronic trading (MIFID II, PRA, Market Access, etc.)
•    Experience with testing Algo strategies/ systems

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
