Senior Analytics Engineer 
New York

As a Barclays Senior Analytics Engineer you will serve as a dedicated mortgage credit modeler. Your role will be critical to better align us with growth in Securitized Products and to positions us to support other teams in European markets. The Quantitative Analytics Securitized Products team is responsible for the research, development and library implementation of quantitative models for securitized products globally.

What will you be doing?

•    Creating models and leading all discussions with appropriate stakeholders to present findings and establish a course of action compliant
•    Communicating with trading desks to establish priorities daily 
•    Conducting data analysis and present results to support modelling hypotheses 
•    Implementing models as proto-types and discuss implications as required 
•    Implementing models in our analytic framework
•    Documenting models and co-ordinate with model owners to get approval 
•    Collaborating with IT partners and other functions to facilitate the adoption of models developed   

What we’re looking for:
•    Masters in quantitative disciplines 
•    Domain knowledge of markets dynamics, both fundamental and technical, influencing mortgage prepayment and default performance is critical. 
•    Proficient coding in advanced C++ and ability to independently work with all aspects of development
•    Proven years of experience of C++ coding, preferably in mortgage industry/broker/dealer and ability to use advanced Python scripting to create reporting batches

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Very good skills of presenting and articulating, both oral and written
•    Knowledge of modelling prepayments/ defaults and/ or RMBS cash flow structures
•    Familiarity of third party tool: Intex

Where will you be working?
You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
