As a Barclays VP of US Structured Lending Market Risk you will have the opportunity to ensure that all market risks are captured, controlled and monitored to ensure the safety of the bank. This role will allow you to design and develop financing solutions to provide clients portfolio financing trades on credit assets. You will also be involved in initial transaction analysis, review and challenge, in addition to trade capture and post execution risk monitoring and excess/exceptions management.

What will you be doing?
•   Helping to put in place an appropriate risk management framework for the developing US structured credit financing business.
•   Providing transaction level analysis and approval on new proposed trades as well as overall portfolio level risk management.
•   Staying current with financial analysis and risk profile of the assigned sector, borrowers, and counterparties.
•   Maintaining data integrity of appropriate Market Risk systems and ensure they reflect the approved transactions.
•   Developing product and industry knowledge through research, contacts, and participation in seminars.

What we’re looking for:
•   Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics or quantitative related discipline.
•   Experience in market risk for structured credit business areas.
•   Significant management experience.

Skills that will help you in the role:
•   Experience working in a counterparty related role and knowledge of credit risk management
•   Strong IT skills and experience with coding languages e.g. Matlab, VBA, Python
•   Experience with industry standard valuation tools such as Intex.
•   Experience risk managing securitization risks

Where will you be working?
You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building
