Product Manager

As a Barclays Product Manager you will be creating the product vision, road-map and prioritizing the product backlog to maximize the Return on Investment (ROI) for products that leverage the Loans platform, including personal loans and point of sale finance. Your focus will be on both business and product, possessing an in-depth knowledge of the goals and desired outcomes. You will collaborate with various team to ensure successful delivery of solutions that meets customer expectations.

What will you be doing?
•   Partnering with the business team to create, evolve and communicate the overall product vision and road-map based on market context and company strategy
•   Collaborating with key stakeholders to understand key customer problems that need to be answered
•   Driving innovation by translating thoughts and ideas into tangible product backlog items (PBIs)
•   Understanding and communicating the business benefits of each PBI
•   Continuously engaging the customer and stakeholders to ensure the teams are building the right product
•   Creating and prioritizing features on the product backlog
•   Supporting ongoing, just-in-time product backlog refinement with the wider product management team and development team
•   Partnering with the product management team to formulate release goals and release plans

What we’re looking for:
•   Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
•   3+ years of experience in a product management and/or lending business environment
•   Excellent communication and presentation skills
•   A passion for learning and continuous improvement – both yourself and helping others grow

Skills that will help you in the role:
•   Previous experience with Design Thinking / Jobs to be Done
•   Experience with value-based prioritization practices
•   Experience in point of sale lending or personal loans
•   Good Product Management skills

Barclays' Wilmington campus includes two beautiful buildings located along the historic Wilmington Riverfront. A glance out our windows reveal a scenic look at the Christina River, along with a growing riverfront community of luxury apartments, shops, and restaurants. Additionally, the Wilmington train station is a short walk away making travel from New York and Washington, DC convenient.
